Fulcrum’s Celebration of Light is January 27, 2023! Fulcrum’s largest annual fundraiser will be held at the Sheraton Grand Seattle, bringing the community together in support of Catholic schools, students, and educators.
“While we were certainly energized at T-Mobile Park, I am excited to be going back ‘home’ to the Sheraton, where we have celebrated so many inspiring moments throughout our Fulcrum history!” said Michelle Audino, Fulcrum board of trustees member and chair of the development committee. “And after the pandemic isolation—which was felt in so many different ways—I am super excited to gather with our greater community of friends! The buzz we feel in the Sheraton is hard to contain!”
This year, Fulcrum will honor Dick Abrams with the prestigious Archbishop’s Award. Dick’s passion for early childhood education (ECE) through Fulcrum’s Early Childhood Education Endowment has been an inspiration, bringing critical resources to the youngest learners in the archdiocese.
“I am so impressed with the work that Fulcrum has done in the area of ECE,” said Mary Yamoah, principal of St. Joseph Catholic School, Vancouver. “The partnership between Dick Abrams and Fulcrum has opened up so many opportunities for our families. Not only has early learning been highlighted as a priority, resources have been allocated to enhance these programs everywhere, from teacher quality to instructional support to facilities upgrades, and so much more.”
Celebration of Light raises money for Fulcrum’s critical programs, including tuition assistance for students and capital grants for schools. Donations from this event also help Fulcrum fund new and innovative programs like the Early Childhood Education Endowment and the Becraft Scholars Program.
