A photo from Fulcrum’s Becraft Scholars Program featured in Northwest Catholic Magazine won second place for “best photo” from the Catholic Media Association!
Founded in 1911, the Catholic Media Association builds and strengthens the value, effectiveness, and identity of Catholic media by facilitating the professional development and spiritual growth of its members. Each year, the organization recognizes outstanding work in Catholic media. The 2022 Press Awards program had roughly 2,700 entries in 472 categories. More than 160 organizations entered this year’s program.
Fulcrum’s Becraft Scholars Program photo by Kristin Zwiers won second place in the “Best Photo — Catholic Education” category. One judge wrote: “The photo has great energy and eloquently captures the energy of children at play.” The photo was featured as part of an article about the Becraft Scholars Program and its director, Alana Bell, published in Northwest Catholic Magazine in September 2021.
