Supplemental content for our 2020 Community Report’s “Academic Year In Review”
The generous donations of Dick and Sharon Abrams have supported early childhood education in the Archdiocese of Seattle for years. They’ve funded small-scale projects from replacing windows to earning preschool licensure.
The Abrams’ latest partnership with Fulcrum looks at the bigger picture.
In the coming year, the Abrams’ generosity will fund a new position at the Office for Catholic Schools (OCS) through Fulcrum. Both organizations will work together to strengthen early childhood education programs across the archdiocese. The OCS’ new director of early childhood education will help organize and share resources among educators, as well as help schools make the most of their preschool learning spaces.
The Abrams’ passion for early childhood education and their work with Fulcrum will lead to an expansion of pre-K learning facilities and the ability for the archdiocese to serve more families than ever. Fulcrum and OCS plan to find new and innovative ways to meet each school’s early childhood learning needs.
Thank you, Dick and Sharon, for leading the charge in education for the youngest members of our community!
