Bio
Vivian has been the executive director of Fulcrum since October 2019. She thoroughly enjoys being part of such a passionate and dynamic team at Fulcrum, all who are committed to Catholic education in Western Washington. She led her colleagues through the COVID-19 pandemic, and also worked with the Fulcrum board to successfully write and launch a first ever strategic plan for the organization in 2022. During Vivian’s tenure, Fulcrum achieved a successful capital campaign, raising $88M. Vivian is committed to Fulcrum’s long-term vision, mission, and values, and enjoys getting to know the various school communities, as well as Fulcrum donors and supporters across the region. Prior to joining Fulcrum, Vivian was the Chief Advancement Officer for the YMCA of Greater Seattle where she successfully oversaw a $180M campaign, and prior to that, she was the Campaign Director at the West Point Association of Graduates, where she oversaw a $350M campaign that raised $421M for the US Military Academy. She has over 25 years’ experience building relationships, growing and developing teams, and creating strategies for success.
Vivian is married and has four adult children and two grandchildren. She lives in Bonney Lake with her husband Joe and their beloved golden doodle, Rudy. She is a proud alum of the University of Washington, a huge Seahawks fan, and a loyal Army West Point fan! Beat Navy!
Bio
Alana joined the Fulcrum team in January 2021. Prior to joining Fulcrum, Alana was the director of equity and inclusion at Seattle Academy, where her focus was building community and creating equitable systems. A Seattle native, Alana has strong ties to the private school community, having been a student, educator, parent, and board member at multiple institutions. Alana’s desire to serve her community has led to opportunities to work with organizations such as the Seattle CARES Mentoring Movement and Partners for Youth Empowerment. In her free time, Alana loves to travel, cook, and continue learning.
Bio
Alexandra joined Fulcrum as Stewardship Manager in August 2025. As a proud product of Catholic schools and a former Catholic school educator, Alexandra is excited to be a part of the community that shaped her. Alexandra attended St. Joseph School, Seattle Preparatory School, Gonzaga University, and received her Master’s in Teaching from University of Portland’s PACE Program. Having worked in the non-profit space for the last decade Alexandra is excited to bring her expertise in donor relations to Fulcrum.
Outside of work Alexandra loves preparing food for friends and family, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Bio
Amy joined Fulcrum in June, 2023. Born and raised in Seattle, Amy is a product of local Catholic schools. She attended St. Alphonsus for elementary and middle school and Bishop Blanchet for high school. She holds a bachelor’s in environmental science from Western Washington University and a master’s in information science from the University of Washington.
Amy has spent most of her professional life in development positions. She was the development director of the Girl Scouts of Western Washington and a development consultant to nonprofit organizations before focusing her career on schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle. She was the director of advancement at Bishop Blanchet High School and the director of advancement, marketing, and communication at Kennedy Catholic High School. Amy most recently worked as the director of advancement at Christ the King, which included work in admissions.
Amy and her husband are the proud parents of two children. She and her family enjoy spending time outdoors, including training for and running marathons!
Bio
With a training in the hospitality industry, Savannah made the intentional decision to shift her career away from corporate meetings and towards making a positive impact in the world. She was drawn to the Fulcrum Foundation by its commitment to a future where vibrant and innovative Catholic schools offer hope and pursue the common good. Since joining the team in 2020, she is proud to support schools, students, and educators in meaningful ways through programmatic review and strategic planning.
Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in the sunshine and value in movement—practicing yoga, running, or tending to her garden—and when she has both, she feels doubly blessed.
Bio
Susan joined the Fulcrum Foundation in November 2011. Prior to joining Fulcrum, she worked at Hopelink, an Eastside non-profit. She is proud to be a part of the Fulcrum team and her passion for Catholic schools is evident in her daily interactions with families and schools. Born and raised in Seattle, Susan attended St. John School, Bishop Blanchet High School, and Seattle University, graduating in 2003 with a BA in Business Administration.
Bio
Sofie joined the Fulcrum Foundation in January 2025, as a Fulcrum intern, and became Fulcrum’s Project Assistant in May 2025. Sofie is currently attending Boise State University, where she is in her last year of working on completing her Bachelors in Sociology. Prior to Boise State, Sofie attended St. Luke School and Holy Names Academy, where strong Catholic values were instilled in her. In her free time, Sofie loves to spend time with friends and family, go to concerts, watch movies, and go thrifting.
Erika Gutierrez
Operations & Community Engagement Coordinator
Bio
Erika joined the Fulcrum team in July 2025 as its Operations and Community Engagement Coordinator. Her background as a librarian at St. Anthony School and as a catechist reflects not only a love of learning, but also a sincere dedication to sharing the richness of Catholic teaching with others. Whether in the classroom, the library, or the wider community, Erika is committed to nurturing both the mind and the spirit with kindness, curiosity, and care. At home, she enjoys cooking and gardening with her husband and their four children, finding joy in the simple moments that bring family together.
Bio
Janie joined the Fulcrum Foundation in March 2024. Prior to joining Fulcrum, she worked in community outreach at Lululemon and also worked in media sales and socia media prior to that. She is happy to be back in the non-profit sector, especially working with Fulcrum. Born in Seattle, Janie attended St. Anne School, Bishop Blanchet High School, and University of Portland where she graduated with a degree in Communication Studies. In her free time, Janie loves to sing, hike and attend group fitness classes.
Bio
Joshua joined the Fulcrum community in July 2024. Before he became the Programs Coordinator, Joshua worked with Alana Bell as Becraft Assistant, where he became a trusted and reliable support for events and various task involving the Becraft Scholars program. He is thrilled to be a part of the Fulcrum Foundation because of his deep commitment to give back to the local Catholic school community that played a pivotal role in shaping him into the man he is today.
Joshua’s journey began at St. Therese Catholic Academy, continued at Seattle Preparatory School, and concluded his educational journey at Western Washington University, where he earned a B.A. in English. Coming from this background, Joshua is excited to come back and support future generations of students so they may enjoy and benefit from a similar upbringing!
Outside of work, Joshua is an avid sports fan, who loves to watch and play the sport of basketball.
Bio
Connor joined the Fulcrum Foundation in July 2019. Before coming to the Fulcrum Foundation, Connor was Development and Program Coordinator at Early Life Speech & Language. A Pacific Northwest native, Connor attended Immaculate Conception & Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, Archbishop Murphy High School and Gonzaga University. He graduated from Gonzaga in 2017 with a BS in Philosophy. Connor is a volunteer with MercyWatch, a street medicine and homeless outreach ministry in Snohomish County. In his spare time he enjoys ultimate frisbee, hiking, and movies. Connor is a member of St. Patrick’s Parish.
Bio
Cathy joined the Fulcrum Foundation in June 2011. A Seattle native, she attended St. Bernadette school, Kennedy Catholic High School, and Seattle University. After working briefly as an ultrasound technologist, she spent the next 20 plus years at home raising her daughters and volunteering in creative capacities at their Catholic schools. When her youngest left for college, she returned to school for graphic design. In addition to design work, Cathy cares for an adult daughter with special needs, spends time hanging out with her new granddaughter, cooks a lot, practices Spanish, and travels the globe. She and her family are parishioners at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
